Les Farandoles dance school offer more than a hobby. Recognized by the city of Chicoutimi, it proposes numerous courses to meet everyone's needs. Learning while having fun; here, it is more than an objective: it's a priority.

Our school will meet your requirements: help you to discover your body, different cultures or better your body and mind. Also, our Elite or Sport-Art-Studies sections will allow you to discover if you have the aptitude for a professional career.

The folkloric group Les Farandoles was founded in 1966 and has represented the region throughout the province, Canada, the United States, France and Yugoslavia.

The performance group: is comprises 40 dancers. Its main commitment, along with the Ecce Mundo presentations, is to facilitate knowledge of other countries' culture including as music hall performances.
The training section: since 1974, the group operates its own dance school. Each year, 600 students of all age groups take weekly courses for a period of 24 weeks.
The diffusion section: our students from the elite or professional training groups participate in large scale regional productions, such as Ecce Mundo, la Fabuleuse Histoire d'un Royaume, La Folle Nuit des Feux Follets, le Carnaval-Souvenir and many others. This is more than just studying, it is a stage performance experience. Each year, all of our students participate in the school's annual production. The group's influence does not stop there, since many of our instructors teach dancing classes throughout the regional school network.
